Today was day 3 of Nationals.
Dorceus and Jeremiah competed in the 13 yr old boys discus. Jeremiah got a new PR!
Yasmine competed in the 14 yr old girls long jump and Moriah competed in the 13 year old girls 200m. You can check the results here: http://image2.aausports.org/sports/athletics/results/2022/jogames/index.htm
Tomorrow we have Jamison Forbush competing in the 9yr old boys long jump and Thomas Buckman competing in the 12 yr old boys turbo jav at 8am.
Moriah Tucker and Jamison Forbush will run in the 100m quarterfinals tomorrow at 11:30am.
Malika Khufu will run the 400m semifinals at 2:15 and Nosaj Booker will compete in the 11 yr old boys shotput at 3pm. Check in is an hour before all events.
If you were at the track today you noticed that they are charging $10/day to park at lots near the stadium. If you choose to park at the Coliseum and ride the shuttle, it’s $5/day or you can get a weekly pass for $20. Look at the map I sent Sunday for more info on parking.
Still leave about 20 minutes for parking and walking to the stadium.
Our purple tent is set up on the visitor side of the stadium.
Here is the link to purchase spectator tickets: https://aaujrogames.org/SpectatorAdmission if you purchase online, you still have to wait in line to get your wristband at the stadium.
If you are still in town on Saturday, we plan on taking the kids to Myrtle Beach. Let us know if you would like to meet us there!
Make sure athletes drink lots of water, eat breakfast, and get some good sleep. Good night!
